I believe it's the caffiene that opens the blood vessels and helps to lessen the migraine/headache - not sure what it does for the stomach.  Kind of like using Brigham Tea when you have the flu - not something you would drink all the time as it is a stimulant - kind of helps give you energy when you are run down from the flu but at least it's all natural.

Thanks Julie Ann for keeping us focused on what is right and good! I don't drink coke but I do love it. The reasons you stated are the very reasons I leave it alone. My grandmother used to drink it with her medicine for Migraine's, wish I would have known about the oils 40 years ago.

I do realize that this recipe is not for all the time just when needed, maybe we could put that clove into something healthy and take it.

 

Lets hear it from all of you, this is a great thread.

DIGESTZEN!!!  I came down with "food-poisoning" a few months ago.  I woke up
at 2:30am  in the morning and had horrible cramping, felt like I needed to
throw-up, and was absolutely miserable.  I put 2-3 drops of Digestzen under
my tongue and then rubbed it all over my abdomen.  I did that twice within
15 minutes - and within 30 minutes I was back to sleep!  If it is more like
a stomach flu - I would do the same thing, only add On-Guard or other
anti-bacterial oils to the feet at least every hour throughout the day.
Taking something like Oregano internally would possibly upset the stomach
more.  Peppermint is great as well as Ginger for stomach troubles.  Just my
personal experience.
