[Everything doTERRA] Re: Tooth abscess

Hi Seth,

Ouch, I'm sorry! I know there's no pain, but there will be if the tooth needs more work!

An abscess is basically an infection, plus there's also inflammation, so those are the keywords to research in the ME book and/or the EverythingEssential.me site. For example, toothache in the ee.me site is: http://www.everythingessential.me/HealthConcerns/Toothache.html#page=page-2

For oil pulling, they suggest a few drops each of on guard and clove in some warm water. Put it in your mouth and swish it around for about 10 minutes, then spit it out (do NOT swallow it). However, the clove is there for pain which you don't have yet, so you could use oregano instead to get the antibiotic effect. 2 to 5 drops on guard, and 1 to 3 drops oregano in warn water and swish. I heard someone suggest doing the oil pulling while you take a shower so the 10 minutes doesn't seem like such a long time because you're doing something else as well.

I also keep a roller bottle around at all times with an "antibiotic" blend of: 15 drops each of frankincense, on guard, and oregano, plus FCO to fill the 5mL roller. You could do something like that and put it on your feet, on the bone behind your ears, and note in the ME book the reflexology chart for ears shows an area at the bottom of the ear lobe by where it connects to the head. That's the area for teeth, so put oils there, and on your face by your cheek/jaw bone by where the tooth is.

Also remember that we metabolize these oils rather quickly. So application every couple of hours or more frequently is a good idea.

Good luck!

Liz
