Dr.Hill told me that the vanilla absolute could cause a detox action (diarrhea) in some people if taken internally....that is why it is on the bottle for aromatically and external use only.   Me thinks that most people need to have a moving experience anyway....I love it in my water and am quite passionate about it actually....we call it happy water and use it to elevate moods...and you know what???   IT WORKS!!  and we are still alive and kickin' too!     Julie Ann
