[Everything doTERRA] Re: does my 16 yr old daughter need to take this meningococcal vaccination

The person you should be asking is your family doctor/nurse practitioner or pediatrician. He or she can explain the disease and vaccination, and help you weigh the risks/benefits of having the shot. That being said...

I would do it. As long as your daughter has not had a bad reaction to other vaccines and is not sick otherwise (cold/flu etc.), she should be fine. Young adults from 16-21 are the population with the highest incidence of meningitis, and it can be very, very serious. With the recent outbreaks, I'm not surprised that there's a push for more teenagers to get the vaccine.
