Re: [Everything doTERRA] What to do if your oils get hot in shipping?

Sun light is worse but prolonged high heat is also not good for essential oils, however, it's very likely that they were not exposed to high temperatures for a long time,  and they do come bubble wrapped for more than physical protection,  the air cushions are also a great insulator.  If the bottles were hot to the touch when she got them, she might want to call customer service and ask them the question, but they are most likely fine.  Remember, most essential oils are made by steam distillation a process that will include high heat.  They are very careful to control that temperature however and not allow it to get to certain temperatures depending on the oil.  I live in Southern Ut.  Our summers here are like dust on a stick.  At night the tempurature sometimes cools to 100 degrees.  We've had product delivered where the bottles feel a tad warm, but nothing that has ever concerned me.

I have a customer that was worried that her oils were damaged during
shipping because they were so hot when they arrived (summer in CA).
Can anyone tell me if the therapeutic benefits were lessened by this
heat in the Fed Ex truck?  I want to reassure her that her oils are
safe to use and still have all of their benefits.

Thanks,
Tammy
