my doctors checked out my adhd son w/ dyslexia and anxiety for metal poisoning. allergies, and all kinds of stuff, we changed his diet and cut out everything he was supposed to be allergic to. all it did was make for a very cranky child and mom.
-- I spent a near fortune on healthy food. it didn't taste good, and nothing changed. (including soap w/ no scent)..
everyone in my family has conquered their indiv. disabilities and moved along nicely. Now getting used to them--------------------- as an adult is less fun.  karen. La

Hi.
Thanks for your interest! Here's the recipe, but I've also
included links below to two blogs I wrote about making
granola (with the recipe) and a video.

Cherry Almond Granola

From the Cooking With Friends Kitchen
Makes 5 Cups

Granola is such a simple and rewarding food to make, especially
with a friend. It´s easy to throw together and will bake
while you sip a coffee or get something else accomplished.
It´s also a great food to customize and make your own. Use
the below recipe as a guide and then bake in your desired nuts
(pecans, walnuts, pine, almonds), sneak in additional nutrients
and protein with various seeds (sunflowers, flax, hemp, sesame)
and then mix in your favorite dried fruit (apricots, cranberries,
raisins, apples, coconut).

4 cups rolled oats

½ cup wheat germ

½ cup canola oil

1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon almond extract

1/2 cup chopped almonds

1 cup dried cherries

Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment
paper.

In a large mixing bowl, stir together oats, wheat germ, oil,
honey, vanilla and almond extract and nuts. Spread mixture evenly
on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Place in top half of
oven and bake until golden, approximately 25 minutes, checking to
make sure it doesn´t burn. Cool and break the granola
apart. Add in the dried fruit. Store in an airtight container for
several weeks.

I would definitely love the granola recipe. I am always looking
for healthy recipes and I too love Quaker Oats and granola.
