I would imagine clove to be pretty hot. It numbs the gums and kills infection, so brushing your teeth would probably be pretty hot. OnGuard is hot for me and its not nearly as hot as clove. As with anything we use on our bodies we need to use caution. I have friends who drop clove in their mouth and swallow. I would never do that!! I know your taste will return and you probably won't do that again. Respect the power of our oils!!
