She and her rheumatologist decreased her methotrexate dose by 1/4 every three months until she was done. It took 9 months to get off of it, plus another 3 months to clear the half life.
The methotrexate was "working" in that she was not showing signs of disease progression and her labs looked OK, but she didn't want to be on it, so they monitored her wean very closely. It has been almost a year and she is symptom free and her lab work looks great.
She considers both DDR Prime and LLV to be foundational, and can tell a difference when she is not on them.
