Re: [Everything doTERRA] School classroom and oils

I have used oils and my diffuser in a classroom and in Church. To my surprise, some people are allergic to cinnamon, clove, or are "offended" by certain smells! I personally don't think they would react the same way to our CPTG oils, but they were adamant, so I avoided the oils that might cause problems. I would definitely check with the parents of your students, and also make sure the school administration is ok with your plan. Better to know before you diffuse or have them present, than afterwards!

You can put oils on a cotton ball in a dish or jar with open top, although it is not nearly as effective as a diffuser. The reed diffusers are supposed to be good, but I haven't tried them. I would NOT use a candle or heat-based unit, as in my opinion, the oils change under heat.

Let us know what you find out!

I am teaching 2nd grade and will be using oils in my classroom.  I
have talked to other teachers who want to use them, but cannot buy a
diffuser at this time.  Does anyone have ideas of how to use the oils
or get them into the air without a diffuser?

Also, have any teachers had problems with parents complaining about
the oils being used aromatically in the classroom?

Thanks! :)
