I would also have her checked for cancer.  That (wounds not healing) is one of the signs.  Just worse-case scenario.

My unprofessional opinion and suggestion would be to apply Frankincense and Helacrysm neat to the open wound. Just dab on a drop of each every 15 min. or so for the first couple hours, then try it every hour or so to about three times a day till you see some improvement.

My aunt has an open wound on her leg near her ankle. She says she has
  had it for 6 months now and that she is tired of having to clean it
  every day so it wont get infected. She does not have diabetes. She
  also says that all you can see is the flesh and that the skin has not
  grown over the wound. If someone could please tell me what oils to
  recommend and how she should apply them. Please something that is
