yes, my GSD has always delayed in eating. At first we thought it was
an alpha thing with another dog we had. He wouldn't touch his food
until the other dog had finished. Sadly our other dog is no longer
with us and at first our GSD ate quickly, but now he's back to
avoiding food sometimes. It's not that he doesn't like his food, he
just doesn't seem to want it twice a day. Usually he'll eat hungrily
by the end of the day, but he'll only eat that part of the day's
portion. This way of eating has kept him a very trim dog.
We use Nutro for large breed dogs. He also gets raw vegetables/fruits
and usually eats those quickly.
I'll have the vet double check his gut and his teeth.
Thanks again!
Danielle
