Re: [Everything doTERRA] Pain following back surgery

Hi Vikki,
I had back surgery that was followed by 9 years of continued back pain and got addicted to hydrocodone.(sp?) That is how I started using the oils 12 years ago. I had two massages using the oils with several being layered and was pain free and drug free within three weeks. Making a long story short, I do the aromatouch on myself using the back of my hand to place the oils, then massage up as far as I can using the 8 oils layered when I start feeling the pain again. The oils work! I don't have to do this very often. I had a disc-ectomy but some of the fragments got in to my spinal fluid and cause some discomfort still after 21 years. I massaged the surgery site to break up the calcium deposits and that helped with some of the pain,  but still  I think what Maree has suggested sounds like a wonderful way to drive the oils in for faster relief. There are a number of other oils specifically for pain that I use as well. White Fir, Frankincense, Melisa, Coriander, Lemongrass, Cypress and Basil. Sometimes just using the Aromatouch and Deep Blue is all I need, and sometimes all I have to do is smell the oils and the pain goes away. I hope these suggestions help.

I think that the Aroma touch would be really great for her.... the 'Spinal Technique is totally different in it is a technique where you are just layering the oils on the spine one by with-with 5 to 6 drops of each starting with melaleuca and then continuing with other oils specifically for pain or flus or whatever the sickness is and then the lost oil that goes on is Peppermint-being the oil that drives all the other oils in:) and then taking a hot hot wet towel and placing it on top of the spine and placing another dry towel on top and 'basting' the person for 15 mins:) it is an amazing way of healing the body and kicking sicknesses out of the body by way of the spine... I love this for quick and easy and my hubby can do it on me easier and quicker than the aromatouch:)

It is a simple shorter and easier way than the Aroma touch but Dr. Hill created the Aroma touch for specific purposes with specific oils for healing the body and that is a Great technique too...
that is the difference...

good luck,

Maree
