My 8 year old, 80 lb. chocolate lab injured his right fore leg 3/30/14. He has been seen by 5 vets, 3 of which were orthopedic, including Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. No one seems to be able to positively identify his injury or how to treat it. He has a bad limp since the injury. The shoulder muscle has atrophied and some fluid on his elbow. According to one of the orthopedic vets his upper spine & neck is also sore and he has widespread arthritis. They are hesitant to surgery because they aren't sure if it will help him. He is on pain killer and steroid. This has enabled him to tolerate short walks. Before injury he walked 1.5 hours per day minimum. Currently he sniffs around on a very slow walk for 5 to 15 minutes 2X per day. I attended a doTerra class through my spa today and I believe I can help him with the oils. I am in search of suggestions in determining which oils, application, frequency and carrier (coconut oil?). Any info will be greatly appreciated. My boy is not going to live a full life with this injury. Please help us! Thanks!!!!
