Re: [Everything doTERRA] Oregano burned my skin

Pat:
I believe this individual has expressed being new to essential oils so perhaps they were unaware that Oregano is considered a hot oil..

If you left the oil on your skin for a prolonged period of time and you did indeed cause a severe burn, it would be safe to say that you should see a medical doctor as soon as possible..

If it is not a severe burn,  well then, I just happened to burn my thumb to the point of a blister a couple days ago, and I made it feel all nice and yummy with lavender oil

perhaps you could try that and see if you have similar success.

( in case you are unsure as to what constitutes a severe burn you can actually Google that and many medical sites list the degrees of burns and show what they look like to help you determine if you should go see a doctor)

best of luck to you :-)

I am not sure why you would use a known HOT oil on your skin regardless of the reason.
I would start applying coconut oil to the affected spot asap.

Hello,

I'm very new to essential oils. Two days ago I applied Oregano on my skin without a carrier oil due to a minor cut. The next day I woke up with the skin badly irritated, and it's getting darker and rough. It looks like a burn. Is there anything or any other oil that can help it heal fast with peeling off? Please!
