[Everything doTERRA] Re: 7 month old with a cold

This post probably comes a bit to late (I'm new to the group!) but my now 9 month old has had colds & I've used on guard & melaleuca on her feet to boost her immune system.  Plus when she is sleeping I've put a dot of oil on my finger & then touched it on each side of her nose.  I don't do this while she is awake because she doesn't like the smell & then will try to rub her nose & then I'm afraid will get the oil into her eyes.  It's a pain to have to creep into her room to apply the melaleuca but it works wonders to clear up the runny nose!  Also, a friend of mine has a had a lot of luck using breathe for her son (age 2) who gets a bad cough often.  She's new to oils and didn't want to apply them directly in case the interacted with the other meds her son was on but after she put the oils on her own clothes & held the bottle under his nose so he could inhale it for about 10 minutes she told me he went from coughing every 30 seconds to only coughing 5 times the rest of the night!  Then another friend of mine (also new to oils) diffused breath for her son (also age 2) & said he slept soundly until 4am when the diffuser automatically shut off (he too had drainage & a cough).  I do hope your little one is feeling better by now!

My son is 7 months old. He woke up congested with nasal drainage, a mild cough and a low grade fever. Im new with the essential oils and have used them individually, but am wondering what is a good combination of oils for all these symptoms. Would lavender, melaleuca, breathe work?
