I use on guard to pull every morning, and I attribute no colds or flu for over 3 years to it.  I used to regularly get a cold and flu twice or more per year.  some times severe that would include a deep chest cough.  I feel like those days are past.  If i ever get that tick in my throat, I immediately do an oil pull.  It seems to go away and never comes back with my regular pulls every morning.  There are studies that are showing the benefits to clean mouth and gums for the heart, for blood pressure,  and for disease, including cancer.  Kind of exciting. 

I will change up oils once in a while, I use lemon grass. oregano, peppermint, cassia and clove.  When I do it at night, i just feels good to go to bed with such a clean mouth, it definitely helps me go to sleep and sleep better. I use VCO, Sunflower or plain water. 2 tblspns of carrier with 2-4 drops of essential oil.

If I use VCO, when I spit I make sure the hot water is running, and I let it run for about 5min after the spit.  Then I brush my teeth using On Guard tooth paste.  I swish the mixture around my mouth trying to get it between my teeth.  

I love oil pulling,and can't say enough about the benefits

At first, your jaw will get tired but you'll get stronger.  I swish for about 15 minutes every morning - first thing in the morning before drinking any water or even brushing your teeth.  When you're done, I recommend spitting the oil into the toilet (it will be cloudy white).  Rinse your mouth thoroughly and then brush.  I use a different toothbrush after oil pulling than I do at night.  Remember to brush your tongue.  So, I went back to the dentist after a year of oil pulling and I had nothing but 1 and 2 readings on my gums plus, the dentist actually said that it looked like I just got my teeth professionally cleaned.  Seriously, almost no plaque build up at all after a whole year.  Oil pulling is AMAZING!!!!

i'm very interested in oil pulling and would love to start doing it every morning. can you use FCO or should you only use organic coconut oil, sesame oil, etc.? i've read different things about what oils you should use. is it more beneficial if you use an additional essential oil with it? any suggestions? thank you! :)
