Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Building Question

I strongly disagree with supplementing downlines that are coming up short to make rank or bonuses.  If they are a friend who needs help that is one thing.  If you are buying up your downlines volume for commissions, it is not sustainable or dublicateable.  What msg are you sending to your team?  Not everyone can afford to supplement to be successful.  I was involved in another mlm where buying in your downline was considered a gift or even encouragement.  After doing the business for 2 mon, my upline approached me and asked me to spend at least 300 to help a team member.  It was a pressure, coercion and greed driven team.  I encourage you to look at it from this ipcs perspective and support their growth if they want it or love them as a friend if they don't.  If you decide to supllement their leg or ask them to sell their spot, I dont believe that is a bad thing if it is done with the right intention and spirit.  I tend to go with my gut instinct with reading customers and builders.  If there is a doubt in your mind about doing it, dont do it.  I believe setting your intention is ultimately what attracts people to your team.  I just qualified as premier last mon for the first time and was elite for almost 2 years with a huuuuuge volume but only one leg.  So I do understand your perspective.  Collect information as you are and follow what your gut is telling you.  That is my 2 cents.

I would suggest that you watch one of the webinars on the compensation plan. There is one found at www.reinventinghealthcareinfo.com  But the unilevel is based off of the entire volume (OV - Overall Volume) of your team.  For your first level, you receive 2%, 3% on your second, and so forth up to 7% on your 7th level.  As your levels go deeper, you have to be a higher rank to get those commissions on all the levels.  Silver gets all the levels.  I have not found this to be a problem, by the way, because it is structured such that those doing the business generally are ahead of this.  In other companies, if someone doesn't qualify for these "commission" payments, the company keeps them.  This is called "Breakage" and they count on that money for their profits.  doTERRA makes sure they pay someone, so the computer looks up the line for the first person who qualifies for that commission and pays them.  This is called dynamic compression.  So once you are Silver, you will get paid on any commissions that anyone down the line doesn't qualify for.  By the time you reach the higher ranks, your unilevel checks far outweigh the power of 3 bonuses which you can earn.  They were meant to be just that--bonuses, but not the meat and potatoes of your check.  In the beginning though, those power of 3 checks can feel huge.  I honestly understood the unilevel thing from the beginning and have built my business for the long haul, rather than worrying about the power of three.  I have received it however, as I built my business.  I hope that helps a little.

Can you explain Unilevel?  Thanks!

I have to completely agree with Charly, the true value is in the uni level. What I see in the 3x3 is power of good structure, but not the whole story.

I have to disagree. I am sorry that the bonus keeps eluding you. However, the bonus is just that--a bonus. The true power is in the unilevel. There are companies that make more up front, that is true. And this is a business for some, so you have to keep that in mind as you are structuring--but there is great power in that unilevel program and that is where I make most of my money. The power of 3 is a great bonus. We are always free to do other things, and I am happy that others have found different programs that work better for them--success is always wonderful. Building Doterra has even a valuable proposition and I see success every day for me and my downline as we build this business.

Hi Pari, join the crowd. I've been premier for 3 years on and off, and still do not make even 50 bonus each month. Always, or someone getting out(due to overload of oils), or forget to order, or credit card maxout, or buy oils on eBay cheap, etc. On my average 10 K sales I got about 3-5% pay in Doterra, that can't pay any bills. It's not my or any IPC fault, its a big flow in Doterra's/ YL marketing system. Sorry, but I don't want to play any more" buying out" games under my downline IPCs. That what flooded eBay and Amazon with Doterra products for the fraction of the coast. I was tempted to get that Frankincense for $32.00! and no tax! Too much botch out oils from too much fake Golds and Diamond on eBay. I think that is Doterra's marketing system flow and not networkers.
A few month ago I found networking Co with one of the best comp. plans, great healthy and easy consumable products. With 1/3 of my gross sell of Doterra, I 'm making twice as much of what I'd I get in Doterra.
Next step when I reach Bronze there, I would be getting health, dental, vision insurance from this networking company.
I love oils, so I do Doterra for love, but for income I do www.coffee2love.info

Hi all,

I have been in doterra for over a year, last January. My volume is pretty high but I am still at premier rank and earning 250 a month which is not much.  I have yet to fulfill the 1500.  I have three power of three builders.  One of them is very strong and has her 1500 already. The other two are very slow and it seems like all I hear are excuses. I have enrolled people under them and helped their teams grow. Well this month one of my power of three (second legs) said she can't fulfill the 100pv. So what do you do in that case? When I reached out a few months ago no one responded to my emails and I even mentioned in one of my list emails that if you ever fall short a month then let the upline member know so that it doesn't affect our monthly compensation.

Her excuse is now that it's marketing and sometimes you make it to that level and sometimes you don't. And that she can't afford it financially every month. However, this person has a team building under her so I don't know how to go about this.  It's going to prevent me from getting my 250 this month b/c the second leg didn't do their part:((

This is becoming quite stressful for me so any good advice will be appreciated.
