[Everything doTERRA] Re: laundry soap

I e-mailed product support and this is the response they sent me when I commented on the smell:

"We are sorry to hear of your experience. The formulation contains Lipase enzymes, which helps remove fatty acid (vegetable oil) based stains.  Sometimes on a few occasions when conditions are right, the Lipase can produce a slight "off" smell.  This is a natural byproduct to the hydrolysis of the fatty acid bonds (break down of fatty acids) in the laundry.  This may occur if the laundry has a heavy loading of vegetable oil stains.  Actually this is normal and means that the detergent has done its job. Simply put the clothes into the dryer and continue the laundry.  The clothes are clean and should have a fresh smell upon removal from the dryer.  However, if you don't like the smell, try re-washing the clothes with another cycle.  Chances are that the smell will be gone.  This is because the vegetable oil stains are gone and the Lipase cannot react to it."
