[Everything doTERRA] Re: Peppermint toxic to dogs?

I was looking at my book again and found a reference to peppermint being bad for cats (toxic) but cannot find anything about it not being good for dogs.   Now I am wondering if I read that same passage when I first got the book several years ago and thought they were discussing a dog and not a cat. 

 

I really hope I have been wrong all this time because I use peppermint alot and have 2 dogs in the house.  I would prefer to have been mistaken about Peppermint and dogs.  If anyone else has documented info about this subject I would appreciate it.   Peppermint is one of my favorite oils and would love it if I would not have to be so careful when using it around my dogs.

Yet on this group and other places on the web I have read that people are using peppermint oil on dogs with no problems?

 

Can anyone shed some light on this?  It's confusing to me to see such extremely opposite opinions.
