Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Animals

Try the serenity. An google Cesar Millan and doTERRA. He has a dog that is terrified of stuffed animals and some else-cant remember and he used Serenity on that dog. You might learn some other way to try it. I have used balance on my dog (Chocolate Lab) and lavender. He gets anxious in the car. But he loves the oils. He wants to lick them off my hands. But he wasn't fond of them at first. I started with a drop on a cotton ball in the air vent when we traveled. He had to breathe it in. One thing to remember, is dogs are so much more sensitive to these oils. When my dogs need them, they get 1 drop, and they are 75-90 lbs. so use sparingly. Try different happy oils and see what your dog responds to.

For the allergies, the same dog used to get ear infections all the time, itch and itch until he would bleed, had dry flakey skin and was miserable. We switched foods to a high end, grain free diet. It takes about 6 weeks to truly see a difference and get all the corn and wheat out of their diets. As far as oils, we would use 1 drop of lavender in a tablespoon of olive oil. After baths, when they were still wet, I would put just a few drops of the mixture (it will make them greasy if you use too much) and massaged it into his coat. Worked like a charm.

On a side note, I did use the oils to treat his ear infections. 2 drops each Melaluca and lavender in a few tablespoons FCO. Apply a drop or two of the mixture to the ear flap only! (Not into the ear canal!!!) I do the underside with no hair. Then rub it around good. 2 times a day, continued it 2 days after the infection was gone. I also used a generic ear cleanser once a day as well to clear out any wax.

Ok, hope my small novel helped!
