One of the IPCs on our team has a son who is on a feeding and she
uses oils all the time with no problem (its been over a year now). I
don't remember how old he is but he is severely handicapped and I would
guess between 6-8 years old.
She really struggled when the feeding tube happened (fought against
it as long as she could). She is an RN and they had many problems. She
has to give him a probiotic (I believe she opens PB and puts in it the
food or rubs it on his feet). Basically what she ended up doing was
making her own food and not using the prepared stuff because it made him
so miserable. Digestive issues and discomfort and he started coughing
and had a lot of mucus and kept choking on it. That stuff is loaded with
corn syrup and other nasties. I'm not saying she should make his food,
that is a huge commitment but using the oils and probiotic should help.
