[Everything doTERRA] GX Assist- How do we know it's working?

I started the GX Assist a week ago today & haven't noticed anything substantial. The first day, I only took 1 capsule and had a horrible stomach ache, like bloating pains without the bloat. Since then I have gradually increased up to the recommended dose & have been on the recommended dose for 3 days now. Are there any signs or side effects I should be looking for to know that it's doing something, anything? I don't know if I had an expectation of some sort but I really don't notice any change other than I've gained weight, is that normal? Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated!
