That's awesome to know! ~ I once got peppermint too close to the eyes of my brother in law who had a headache, I didn't have any fco, so I put milk on a papertowel that took the sting away too.

Yes, just dilute w/FCO.  Peppermint stings like crazy, but I don't think it causes any permanent damage!
