Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: homosexual tendency

I hardly ever use that language (ask anyone who knows me), and when I do write cuss words I almost always replace one or two letters with other characters so I don't write the actual word. But I'm still shaking from reading that post.

I will not use such language in again; if I keep seeing posts that contribute to the dehumanization of oppressed populations, I'll just leave the group.

Thank you for allowing my reply and for emailing me directly with your concerns [sorry, just realized this also went out to the group]. I wish my first post on the group had not been that one (but I also really, really wish I that question had never been asked).

Thanks for your reply. If you are indeed an editor and writer then you must know a multitude of words to replace a few of the inappropriate ones you included in your email today. I take responsibility for allowing your post. I do appreciate your comments they are obviously given as one who is educated in this arena.
I also have to tell you that I really did like your comment  regarding, "before you diagnose yourself with depression" but we also need to be cautious in monitoring certain verbage that is not needed to construe a point.
Hope you stay with us and share your views and thoughts,

Pat

If they do not "feel" they are gay why did they "think" they were?

Do they "feel" they should "feel" a certain way because the people around them "feel" homosexuality is a sin/wrong/dirty and therefore these people have had to find "excuses" for what "made" them something that those around them do not accept?

What's that quote -- before you diagnose yourself with depression, make sure you're not in fact surrounded by assholes?

If there was abuse, these people need to find a therapist who can help them work through the scars left by abuse/neglect. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with it -- these people need to make sure they are seeing a professional (not a pastor or other person with no credentials), and a professional who understands homosexuality, bisexuality, and/or asexuality are A) real, and B) not diseases that can be "cured" or things that can or should be "corrected."

I sure as hell hope that by "psychiatric counseling" you are referring to a licensed therapist, not electroshock therapy to "cure gayness."

Oh I certainly did not mean to be offensive or suggest that people are not born gay, etc.  But I've had a couple of people bring up the issue.  They both have similar stories:

1) Mild traumatic experience when they were young (didn't bond with harsh father in one case, isolated abuse incident in the other)
2) They believe these incidents triggered an attraction for the same sex
3) They never felt that being gay was who they really are
4) They no longer feel same sex attraction, but also don't feel attracted to the opposite sex
5) Psychiatric counseling is involved

I genuinely don't want to be controversial!  Only to help these people reach their goals.  If they feel deep down that they are NOT gay, were never born gay, and that they only experienced something like transient gender confusion, then I don't see a problem with that.

As far as oils, I was thinking something to realize your true self, self-esteem, sexual function, hormonal balance...
