[Everything doTERRA] Re: Workplace Harassment Using doTERRA?

I have experienced this same issue. I started working for a company (I am now a full time employee for the company) back in October. I was pretty new to doTERRA and was loving using the oils to disinfect spaces. Since it was time for icky weather, I used a spray I made to detox my cubicle. No one really complained. Got some positive comments actually. And then, out of the blue there were complaints. Right after I started working for a new supervisor. I got several emails asking me not to wear my oils.  My normal routine would be to put my oils on around 5:30 or 6am. I would be at work by 7:00 am. Hardly anyone was in the office. The floor I work on has a  no fragrance policy (which seems to only apply to some people).  On a day I was SUPER sick I had taken a few drops of OnGuard internally (note here, I also spilled a spice tea on me that morning), I got a huge complaint. Someone who sits near by complained. My supervisor called me out again. The complaints were going up the chain to higher ups. I explained I wasn't wearing anything. This happened several times. I backed off the oils. I didn't bring them to work at all. This made me very very sad, but I needed to get the pointers off my back.

At this time, the people that have complained, I have kept a positive attitude towards them. They are nice people. They just have some ties to scents that are understandably negative (most people are used to getting sick from fragrances. so to them, fragrance = illness). Recently, I gave both of the main complainers deep Blue, cypress, lemongrass, and lavender. I had a chat with one about patchouli and let her try doTerra patchouli. They actually loved the scents. Go figure. =)
With patience, kindness and mustering up as much positive thoughts and attitude i could, the complaints have cut down. Hardly any complaints at all. I now carry a few small vials of oils with me (lemon and wild orange mainly). The complainers, now come to me to ask about oils and herbs.
You may find yourself in a hostile environment when you bring out your oils. Do what you can to maintain your use and love of them. The plants will guide you. Be in your heart and give patience to those who are not in the conscious healing space you are in. It takes others longer to get here.

Hello, I have been using doTERRA oils since November. I struggle with
chronic migraines and cystic acne, pcos, among other things so they
have been very helpful to me. I work in an office and had some people
around me complain that they were allergic to the scents I was using,
even when I explained what they were and HR and my manager got
involved. I (and the two people on my team) moved to another part of
the building.

Now, maybe a month or so later, my manager and HR called me out to say
that people are leaving early due to nausea, itching eyes and nose,
etc. and it is being attributed to me. Even when I don't use the oils,
people are complaining. I was told that it is maybe a scent permeated
into my coat/scarf etc. And they say that if I stop using them and
have migraines reoccur, I should fill out new FMLA paperwork to
protect my job.

I feel so frustrated. Has anyone encountered anything like this?
