My niece called today and told me that after a few days of using a mix of melaleuca and lavender mixed with water in a small spray bottle and using on her babies diaper area , that it turned very red like a burn . I asked if she used the eucerin ointment over it and she said she did. I have never seen anything like the very large red area like this after using essential oils??? could it have been that it was mixed with water??? or that the ointment was put over it??? I advised to use a small amount of coconut oil with one drop of frankincense mix and apply with nothing put over it ..... please share any ideas on why this would do this ... The area is extremely bright red and hot to the touch. A side note: she started to use this mix because her little 3 year old was itching alot ... --
