I for one am glad doTerra doesn't have their own farm because their focus is on finding the highest quality plants for their oils which means getting them from their native homes. I like that. I don't think we can expect doTerra to have farms all over the world, and I'd prefer this method over a US farm trying to grow plants not native to this environment. =)
I'm a little confused about the Jewish culture and kosher--are you telling me that Jewish people cannot consume anything that hasn't been blessed by a Rabbi? Man, that would be horribly inconvenient.
Thanks again, Lori.

doTERRA's direction is mainstream medical benefits. I feel YL focuses on the emotional healing. My husband just saw it as another MLM that was "preying" on those that were suffering emotionally. That aside, the one that introduced me has taken many YL courses and I was curious to do the same. As I looked into CARE courses they say they are a third party and separate for YL, but only use YL oils because they are the only company with the purest oils. (This got me wondering) I also saw that they were really going in the direction of "healing" with oils as Jesus and His apostles did. In a sense, YL becoming more of a religion itself. YL does not have any third party testing that I know of. I also Googled D. Gary Young because many call him Doctor Gary Young. He is not a Doctor. (I believe that this is a good reason why doTERRA has Dr. Hill with their team) As I read about D. Gary Young's personal life and starting of YL I questioned his personal integrity. These were my personal "red flags" that I came across. That's why when I read David Sterlings response I found the transparency and integrity I was looking for in an essential oils company. YL complains that doTERRA doesn't own any farming property of their own nor their own testing facilities. I personally like the fact that doTERRA does work with third parties. I don't just have to take doTERRA's word that their oils are the best.
Now, I don't want to fuel any bad feelings towards YL. This was my personal experience. I no longer have a good relationship because of harsh feeling from my YL upline and her group since I choose doTERRA over YL. She believes I have been fooled. I have read many hateful things from YL distributors. WE CANNOT AFFORD TO FUEL THIS FIRE. We need to follow David Sterlings example.
I believe it is a free market. There will always be those who will be drawn to either company. YL oils are also all Kosher, meaning they have been blessed by a Rabbi. doTERRA is pure, but not blessed, therefore not Kosher. That, to some, is very important. YL has connected essential oils to spiritual and emotional healing. doTERRA is all about the mainstream medical benefits.... worship how you may... and I like that.
