When I had it in my elbow I put heat on it instead of ice, it healed really quickly after that and I had been icing it for weeks. The idea is that ligaments and tendons dont have a great blood supply and heat encourages circulation and thus healing. I would now also use oils with the heat, but I didn't use oils back when I had this and the heat worked anyway. Good luck.
