I believe so Melissa. My hair is hightlighted also. I do use a recontructor treatment twice a month. I been do it that for years. Its a salon brand, no homemade. You could leave the conditioner longer in your hair every once in a while and see if that works as a deep treatment, The conditioner leave my hair very soft anyways.
