We simply explain to people that staying away from eating grapefruit when you are on meds that tell you to stay away from grapefruit is a good idea. Always follow your medical professionals when working closely with them for whatever reasons.
However the essential oil of grapefruit is distilled from the rind and does not react in your body the same as the pulp and juice of this citrus. You can check with aromaticscience.com and see if you can find further info.
