[Everything doTERRA] Re: Itchy Skin

Lesley, Would this blend also be good for eczema or possibly psoriasis?  Thank you for posting your recipe.  I love all natural recipes using coconut oil and our oils!

I use my whipped coconut oil lotion.  I have a skin condition where if I scratch myself, instead of making it better, it actually releases more histamine, creating hives, and so in effect, I'm allergic to myself LOL.  When I have an episode of this, I put a bit of this lotion on, and it reduces the itch as well as lessens the hives.  Gave the recipe for it in another post recently, but can't hurt to cross post.  I use about 1 cup of virgin coconut oil (the solid not the FCO). a tablespoon or two of oil (Olive, grapeseed, sunflower, almond, safflower, apricot, avocado), and whip it till it's smooth using the whisk on my mixer.  After a while, the friction will soften the coconut oil, so don't worry if it's not mixing well to start.  I then add lavender, geranium, meleleuca, and frankincense until it smells good.  And that's it!  I use it on dry skin, itchy skin, diaper rash, cleanse my face with it then hydrate with it, pretty much everything.  I've also made a batch with less essential oils for a rash on my little dog's tummy.  If you don't have all those oils, I would still strongly recommend at least the lavender and melaleuca.

Not sure what's going on with my face, but I feel like I'm having an allergic reaction to something.  It's not visible though.  Just itching like crazy, for a couple weeks now.  From my ears to my nose, down my neck.  I haven't changed anything.  I don't have any allergies, as of yet.  I know that they can develop.  Any suggestions?  I've been putting Lavender and FCO on everyday, with no relief.
