Have her take the LLP allergy protocol (2 drops each of lavender, lemon and peppermint) either in a capsule or swished around her mouth then swallowed (preferred), to reduce the reaction. This is our antihistamine. She may need to do it each morning depending on the severity of her allergy, and how much 'cat' is being brought in.
-- My mother in law is allergic to cats, and so she does this when she visits for long periods. She also swears by rubbing a drop of digestzen down her nose to alleviate the weepy, swollen eyes, and runny nose.
