I agree 100% with Shelly! I learned years ago in an aromatherapy class that by putting them in an oil warmer, you only got the fragrance and no healing properties whatsoever. The heat destroys all of that. However, I did use lavender in one (years ago!) just for the scent. If you are wanting to do it just for the scent, I would use a cheapy brand oil or a wax melt. Do not waste your precious doTERRA oils in one of those things! :)

I would never advise heating the oils in a scentsy type candle
warmer. Our doTERRA oils are precious, potent and pure. Heating them
in that element would likely destroy their potency. Every time you
smell our oils that means that the molecules are volatile, meaning
they just passed from the bottle to your limbic system of your brain
as well as the bloodstream. It is my conviction that it would be a
significant loss and void to burn the oil simply to receive the
perfume. By diffusing properly, with the odor you receive healing
chemical qualities and to have anything less by heating would simply
be perfume.
