[Everything doTERRA] Re: Breast Augmentation Surgery

I'm sorry about your MD and Nurses. I'm an Nurse and try to be very supportive of patients/parents that want natural solutions. The problem is that in school they grill into you that only "modern" medicine works. And if you don't proactively train your mind to accept natural healthcare, then it's just ingrained in you.

1) I believe the oils do get deep in the tissue, but enough to injure the plastic, I can't be sure. I'd err on the safe side for now.  I can't imagine it getting deep enough to break down the implants but then you never know!

2) for pain and healing I'd go for ice to the breast area for inflammation. Then frankincense (will she take it orally? )
to the feet, maybe lavender for calming and infection risk. Also you can never go wrong with Melissa and/or Helichrysm.

3) I'd go for immortelle for the scarring. also maybe some liquid vitamin E? I've heard that helps.

4) Maybe diffuse on guard, to help prevent infection, or serenity to keep her calm. Is she using the pain meds they gave her? They do have their time and place as well. It's important to "stay on top" of the pain, and not wait until you are in severe pain to take something, because then it will take more pain medication just to feel better again.

Good Luck!

My daughter had augmentation surgery last Tuesday.  She is in a lot of pain still.  I have a few questions (some may be dumb) if anyone can help me because of course the Dr and nurses acted like I was crazy to even suggest EO's.

1.  Will the oils get in to her deep enough that they would compromise the plastic of the implants if applied to the breasts?

2.  What oils can I use on her feet (she won't let me close to her breasts with the oils) for pain and healing?

3.  Once the stitches are gone, what is a good protocol for the scarring?

4.  Any other advice is so welcome!

I have been using lavender and vetiver on her feet and diffusing for relaxation. Thank you for any information!
