Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: The Dog Whisperer

Oh my gosh!  That's so cool!  I didn't even think of chickens!!

I can tell all of my neighbors, that have chickens, (I know that there is a few of them), that if their chickens are limping or whatever, I can help them!!!  Seriously!!

Then what I'll do, is send my jack russell over there, (quietly and in the dark) and maybe Stella can help them to start having a limp, (just a little limp) and I can take the oils over and say, "Dude! hurry and put this on the chicken!  It will totally help heal those wounds on it's legs"!   And then I will tell them how I can't believe that someone lets their dogs out at night like that!!!  That's horrible!!

Ok FINE!  I won't.  But it's kind of a good idea. hu?!  ya it is, you know it.  lol!!!

(you know that I would seriously not do that, right Pat?)  I hope so!  I would try to stop the dog, I would throw rocks or whatever at it,  I would help the chicken!

Since the topic of birds was brought up, just yesterday our playful
dog decided to see what our 11 week old chicken would feel like in his
jaws! No major damage.  He freaked out the poor hen, along with giving
her a couple small puncture wounds and limping.

While having her under a brooding lamp (to stay warm to help her out
of shock) I cleaned out the wounds, applied lavender, then
frankincense on the wounds.  Then did some Balance too to help her
come out of shock (though frankincense is also supposed to be good for
that as well.  I read that Helicrysum is also supposed to be really
good for shock, but decided I didn't want to use that expensive stuff
on a chicken!)

As of last night when I went to check the wounds to reapply, I
couldn't even find them!!!
And today the limping is nearly gone.  Plus she's acting much more
'normally' -- she's coming out of shock.

Now it's our dog that I need to help bring out of shock for being
scolded in doing something that he thought was a totally normal!
Ahh, the joys and sorrows of animal ownership.   :)
