Diffusing melissa, applying bergamot and balance and vetiver. Melissa quiets the overactive mind. Vetiver also slows down the chatter.
These issues are serious (speaking from experience). If the oils don't do the trick, anti psychotics will help.
In our family we have been able to get off the anti psychotics over time (a bi polar child) and use the oils. My one daughter puts bergamot under the tongue 3x a day. Diffusing melissa really really helps her also. But we have meds to use just in case things get worse.
You have to be on your toes and watch for worsening symptoms. Its very tricky.
