Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Sales Tax on Everything

Please forgive my last message

I was voice texting due to arm surgery and unfortunately Google got all messed up and then sent my message.

To nutshell it

when I asked the cust. care about the tax a week ago, the rep. had a list of tax exempt States and for some reason Oregon was not on that list?

the rep said she would send an email to the department that handles the taxes and have them contact me as she had told me that in order to get my taxes waived, I would have to go to the State of Oregon and ask for some sort of tax exemption State Papers??

I sauid, wait a minute that has nothing to do with me as a civilian that has everything to do with doTERRA's corporate managers and the state of Oregon
And that's when she said she would have them get ahold of me

This completely blew my mind since we are indeed a tax exempt state and as the owner of a business I do not pay tax on items purchased from other states.

Also, when I shop online for personal items & I send them a message letting  them know I'm from Oregon, I am waived any sort of tax since Oregon does not assess taxes against other states.

I still have not received the email that she told me I would get from the department that handles this specifically, but I will be on the phone with them tomorrow regarding a different issue and I will see if I can get some sort of follow-up to post here.

I know that was a long post and I apologize but I felt some of you may like to know that I had just spoken with someone at doTERRA regarding this very topic..

Any time I have ordered from Partylite, Tupperware, etc, the shipping is always taxed.  I do not seem to be taxed on my shipping (to Michigan) on my doTERRA orders (this is only my 3rd, 2nd LRP), which i found nice for once :)

Some of my team members have asked why doTERRA charges sales tax on shipping and on enrollment fees. They say no other company they've worked with does this. Is there something about the laws in Utah that makes it necessary to do this? Does anyone know?
