I suspect that what Lynn is eluding to is the fact that CPTG is a trademarked name. Nothing more. As doTERRA own the rights to the name, no-one else is able to use it. YL have their equivalent and I assume other companies will too.
Although doTERRA are trying to emphasise their high quality oils and the fact that they are proud of their achievement/standard, it is indeed misleading to claim that 'our oils are certified pure therapeutic grade'. Especially when some IPCs boast 'our oils are the only oils with CPTG'.
Even Robert Pappas has expressed his disatisfaction with the doTERRA's use of terms such as CPTG:
"I can understand your disdain for that terminology. Personally I would not have went that route if it were my company... I think the proper reply is simply that CPTG is an internal company standard."

"CPTG" is just doterra saying their oils are therapuetic grade and pure to their standards. Its not like anyone elses oils could be called CPTG. Its a little misleading.
