This doesn't address the sodium level issue; however, my physical
therapist has an 8-yr old daughter who has a brain tumor. He is also
an IPC with doTERRA and has been using the oils with success since
fall, 2011, both for treating the tumor itself and for symptoms such
as nausea and low energy. I sent this posting to him, and his reply
follows:
Speaking as a parent of a hypothalamic tumor daughter, we started
using Frankincense last November and had an improvement in her
symptoms within a few weeks.
We started Frankincense, one drop on the bottom of both feet, for
4 weeks, every night.
Then we started alternating days between Frankincense and
Sandalwood, one drop on one foot every other day. This was because we
were
told Frankincense can be hard on kids with some mild side effects
(which she did end up with upset stomachs and nausea). Both
Frankincense and Sandalwood are shown to pass the blood-brain
barrier in rats. So there is an assumption that this could work on
humans.
We also use Lavender every night on her wrists to help her sleep.
Hopes and prayers that this helps.
