Thank you all. Of course, with all the oils I do have, Basil is one I don't. The one ear is doing better tonight, but it has moved to the other ear. This time I put grapefruit on a cotton piece and put it in (read on the site hear that it can be good) and the rubbed grapefruit and frankincense on his neck and around the ear. We also did onguard and oregano on his feet. I will definitely have to add basil to my list next time! Hopefully he is doing better in the morning.

We followed the recipe on one of the leaders websites....1 drop of Lavender and 1 drop of Melaleuca on a piece of cotton in the ear. Worked wonders..but this was for an adult! I would just put a drop on my finger...or rub the cotton on the bottle top for the oil for a child, then put that on the cotton for in the ear application. Then rub the remainder down the outer ear and down the throat under the ear. Did I do it wrong? I was so tired, I may have remembered incorrectly, in the middle of the night how to treat ear pain. I rubbed some serenity and balance on it and then gave him the aromatouch therapy, this afternoon, as well as rubbing oregano on his feet. Overall, he is looking better, so I know that the oils are working, I just wasn't sure if the swollen lobe was normal?
