There was a story shared about that recently. A lady went to a class where Lavender was being diffused (not recommended by the way – you don’t want to put them to sleep! J) – but the woman sitting closest to the diffuser started feeling sick and left the class. They went over later and met with her individually and learned a lot more about her. She is by nature an extremely CALM person, not prone to stress related issues, and rather reserved. Lavender was not the oil for her! After talking with her they realized her body did NOT NEED Lavender, and therefore it was too much for her. If your friend is suffering from the baby blues, there may be other oils her body needs MORE. Dr. Hill said to look within that “grouping” of oils that have similar effects (such as calming, relaxing or if she is in need of an up-lifting oil search the oils in that ‘group’) and then see which one of those would better suit her needs. That is where the intuition (and their nose) come into play! I have had people who I would have smell 4 or more oils within a “grouping” and they would love one or two and hate the others. Our bodies are brilliant things and we shouldn’t assume that what works for one person will work for another. Just one other question…is she taking any other medications, such as pain relief, etc? I’ve had some that would give me such horrible nightmares – I can’t take them. Just an idea. I hope she is able to find what works for her. Where in Canada is she? I may have a friend who could help. Let me know!
Hugs!
