My mom has been diffusing Black Pepper for my Dad while he sleeps to minimize his cravings for cigarettes.  So far I believe it is working.  He has been using the Electronic cigarettes after having had a heart attack and been told to quit cold turkey or use the e-cigarettes to help.  The combination of the black pepper and the vapor cigarette (which allows him to replace the hand motion of cigarette holding) has been a good combo.
