Hi,
I am going for a colonoscopy next week. I am sure everything will be fine. My question is: since my intestines are going to be clear, is there value in continuing with a greater detox. I will be taking PicoSalax to empty the bowel, but do not know how strong it is. Do not want to over do it.
Thanks so much!

The best way to avoid an episiotomy is not letting the doctor get near you
with scissors. ;) I'm a pretty strong advocate for tearing instead of
cutting. Cutting always means a second degree damage, and too many women
tear on top of the cut. Whereas tearing can be super minor (I passed on
having one stitch) or none at all (what I'm hoping for with my next birth).
Anyhow, the Essential Oils for Maternity book says 5 drops of geranium to 1
tablespoon carrier oil. Massage perineum daily for the last 3 weeks of
pregnancy. Then for the first stage of labor, mix 5 drops clary sage and 2
drops geranium with 2 tablespoons carrier oil. Massage hourly.
Per Stephanie Fritz, CPM, use helichrysum with FCO during crowning and
birth of the baby's head for bruising, swelling and bleeding. She did this
for my first birth, which I'm sure it helped with the lack of tearing. I
was also pushing at my own pace, nobody was telling me when to push.
Stephanie also says to use 20 drops of Immortelle (or 10 drops frankincense
& 10 drops lavender) in a 15ml bottle filled with water. Add a spray top
and spray this on the perineum after birth.
Happy birthing!

The ME book suggests using Geranium to help avoid an episiotomy but it doesn't really list WHEN to use them. Before labor? Months before, weeks? During? Any suggestions?

I think you are right on track with the oils but as far as episiotomy vs
tearing, you'll find everyone has a differing opinion. My first born I
had an episiotomy (and about 4" of stitches) and healed very quickly
with no pain, no nerve damage, happy as a clam. #2 was a different doc
who believed in tearing. It was horrible, took forever to heal, I was
miserable and it did extensive nerve damage. I might add this is an area
you do not want nerve damage. So I think it may just come down to the
doctor.

I wouldn't actually call it an overdose...this could be a detox issue
but from my experience it happens much sooner than 8 days out...but
hey ALL bodies are different and I def wouldn't rule out the detox
thing...if it were me I think I'd cut back to 1/day until my 10 days
are up or jsut stop altogether and begin PB+ once I stop the GX.
Have you been around anyone that you know of that has had a GI bug???
I ask b/c it sounds like it could even be that but more than likely
it's detox...have you tried applying Digestzen to your tummy and/or
feet to help w/nausea, diarrhea etc??? That would be my suggestion to
help you treat the symptoms and begin to feel better. If DigestZen
doesn't work I'd try Lavender...if you can tolerate either in a veggie
cap I would try that as well if it were me.
Do you think you have become dehydrated as a result of the diarrhea
etc??? You may wanna get some type of Gatorade-ish fluid in your body
just to be sure your electrolytes haven't been thrown off kilter due
to the loss of fluids or at least I would;)
I'm sooooo sorry you are feeling so poorly, I hope you are better very
soon!

Yup, LEMON! My Mom had gout . . . I say "had" because she hasn't had any
flare-ups since she started drinking Lemon in her water daily. One time 5
months ago she said she felt a slight tingle on her neck like it might have
been a gout attack in the very beginning stages, and she put a couple of
drops of Lemon and Frankincense on it. DONE. Never developed beyond that :D

If you would all be so kind to enter your thoughts on this thread I will compile them with what I already have. Just give me a couple of days to create a presentation with our info. I already have a folder and I will share the contents soon. I am getting AronaTouch certified tomorrow so I will ask people there as well. This will be fun!

My daughter in New Mexico recently enrolled a hospice company and gave
them a lot of info about doTERRA products. She gave them information
on studies about OnGuard and MRSA and flu virus, info on what CPTG is,
and info on oils such as Frankincense, Lemon, Ginger, Lavender,
Serenity, AromaTouch, Wild Orange, Elevation, Peppermint, Deep Blue
and Citrus Bliss. She uses Susan Lawton's handouts, from the
builddoterra.com website (under "Education"). She also provides oils
to some dementia care facilities. One client asked her for
recommendations as to oils they could use to wash the residents' faces
three times a day, to help them keep track of what time of day it is.
She suggested Citrus Bliss in the morning, Ginger at lunch (to help
with digestion) and Lavender at night. They will put a few drops in
water and then use that water to wet the washcloths. She has an extra
diffuser that she sometimes loans to a facility so they can try out
the oils for a few days. Then she goes back and picks it up and helps
them order when they're ready. She offers to do an in-service for
staff and often staff members are interested in oils for themselves.
If someone has a headache or muscle pain, she uses some PastTense or
Deep Blue on them during her presentation. By the time it's over,
they've usually had relief. I'm sure she'd be glad to share this info
with you if you're interested.

Late notice, but I just realized I don't really have any notes to go
with the Mood Matrix PPT and I'm teaching at the Team Meeting tomorrow
morning. Does anyone have anything that would help?
Thank you!
