Every day I struggled with food intolerances, still do suffer from some.  But no matter how careful I was I wanted sugar and salt, and breads, I am border line celiac.   But since I have been on LLV and Zendrocrine I don't really crave any of the ones listed.  And I am eating whole wheat bread with out to many issues.  I do watch how much meat I eat, I try to keep it to 2-3 days a week.  And soon I will be starting GX Assist and the full Slim and Sassy program.  But what I did is started with one thing at a time.  First off was LLV and I started to see a difference almost immediately.  So I would suggest that you start your friend on LLV and then introduce Digest Zen and then maybe Zendocrine and then GX and PB assist.
