[Everything doTERRA] Success story for a fever

I just wanted to share my latest oil success story. :)

On Sunday my 3 year-old started running a fever. I rubbed some
peppermint on his feet periodically and he perked up and cooled down a
bit. Then about 7:00 p.m. he climbed into my lap and fell asleep. He
was burning hot. I laid him down and he didn't even notice. When I
took his temperature it was 104.6°. That is really high so my
peppermint essential oil and I went to work. I rubbed a couple of
drops on his feet, a couple of drops with some fractionated coconut
oil on his back, neck, stomach, and forehead. I rotated spots to apply
the oil and applied more every 10-15 minutes until his temperature
started to drop. Then I slowed to every 15-30 minutes. His fever was
down to 103° in about 30 minutes. That is faster that Tylenol or
Ibuprofen could have kicked in. He was so deeply asleep I don't know
if I could have forced him to drink any medication--I couldn't even
get him to drink water. When I roused him to get him ready for bed, he
was limp and whimpering, so I rubbed lavender and frankincense on his
forehead and neck along with the peppermint. He became more
comfortable and was able to right back to sleep, where he hardly moved
for 12 1/2 hours. I also periodically rubbed On Guard on his feet and
diffused On Guard in various rooms of the house and in his room while
he slept. I continued to take his temperature and apply more
peppermint throughout the evening, but found I needed less and less.
At 10:30 p.m. he was resting comfortably at 100°. I awoke at 2:00
a.m.and checked on him, and his fever was still low and he was
peaceful so I left him alone. When he got up at 8:00 a.m. the fever
was completely gone, he appeared rested, his appetite was back, and he
was acting normally again. Hooray for essential oils!
