Re: [Everything doTERRA] Hair-loss

Wow! Thanks for all the responses! Now just to do some of the research posted with your comments and hopefully I'll be a bit smarter and able to help encourage her to TRY the products.

I appreciate all your help.

Silica is definitely worth a try since most people are deficient.   Tissue salts (Schluesser salts) can be helpful so that the mineral will actually be absorbed and utilized.  See if someone in the local health food store knows about them or look online.

If you happen to be lucky enough to live somewhere where cacao plants grow, the gel makes hair grow back.  There is a product in development but who knows how long that will take.  Straight from the plant would be best if possible.

He Shou Wu (herb--hope I spelled it right!) can turn the hair dark again.  Not sure if it will make hair grow but it will make existing hair grow thicker.  And obviously no chemical products should be used on the scalp and a shower filter will keep hair healthier.

I haven't tried the doTerra shampoo yet (just signed up last week!) but I've been using organic shampoos for years and it takes a while for old hair products to come out of the hair shaft. During this time period the hair may look awful and limp but then it will get nice and thick after a while (2-4 weeks on average) once all the sludge is gone.  I hope our hair care line will expand to some hair spray or other shaping products.  I would never use chemicals on any area where you want hair to grow!  If your friend has used something it may have caused damage and will just take time to repair.

I have an aunt that is losing hair a lot of hair. In my research I have found that low silica is the cause. Most men bald because of it. There is usually an under lying problem.  i would do as many of the following i could for as long as i could.  where she is totally hairless, which i would love for all but my head lol, not sure if she can grow it back but worth a try right? if it works you should see stubble within a month.
1- have her look at www.earthworkshealth.com and read the testimonials.  see if she relates to any of them and that will tell you her underlying problem. then you can deal with that
2-up silica.  good brands are alta and flora.  www.vitacost.com is a good place to get vitamins discounted.
3- nettles tea has a lot of silica in it
4-oatmeal is high in silica... eat the least processed one
5- check out www.healthandbodyfitness.com  they have a hair fitness supplement and so shampoo that seems good.
6- only use non chemical things on your body.. ie.. shampoo, lotion, soap etc... use doTERRA shampoo. it rocks!
7-adding zinc and b6 will help also.  on vitacost there is new chapter zinc food.
8- being on the llv will help a lot because of the nutrients
9- rosemary to invigorate scalp.
Hope this helps.  like i said worth a try right?

Hi guys,
A lady I know seems so healthy. She runs around all the time, taking
care of other people and leading a huge group of women in a church
organization etc. She's even on vacation in the Dominican again right
now. BUT, she has absolutely NO hair anywhere on her body!!!!! The
doctors don't know why and neither does she.
Any clues out there????? Anyone with experience growing hair back? She
used to have hair, but don't know why it's gone now.
To never have to shave your legs etc again...how would that be??? I
know...you never just get part of the problem, you get it ALL. :-(
Would love some help with this.
Thanks,
Terry :-)
