I think they are neat too but does anyone else have a hard time opening them? It seems like older people might have a difficult time.

I just love those orange OnGuard canisters! So far, I've saved all I have, and of course, I've been thinking of ways they could be useful. They are the perfect size for little treats or favors for a class or friend; they can be covered with paper or fabric and reused as a gift container. They also will hold a mini-first aid kit for a 72 hr pack, in the car or for a Scout. I think they'd be great packed with nuts or candies to carry as a snack in a purse, backpack, vehicle, etc. They would hold most any little pieces and parts. If you personally don't want to reuse them, I would suggest donating them to a Senior center, youth group, crafting club or church. Anybody else have ideas; or what you are doing with your empties?
