someone might be able to brainstorm with us...
Here's the situation:
My sister has IBS symptoms of bloating and gas - more noticeably in
the afternoon. And she is lactose intolerant. Rubbing DigestZen on
the abdomen has alleviated these symptoms. However, crystals about
the size of granulated sugar are beginning to appear in her belly
button. These "sugar crystals" have a dark amber color.
This happened 3 months ago and at the time she started washing with
hydrogen peroxide 2-3 times daily and rubbed with melaleuca. 3 days
later it was itchy, red (little larger than quarter) and low grade
fever started. It became a full blown infection and she went on
antibiotics.
Today, the "sugar crystals" began appearing in her belly button. It
is following the same pattern as 3 months ago. She doesn't want to
take the antibiotics again since we know that antibiotics further
weaken the intestinal tract.
She has always had a strange relationship with sugar. We are
wondering if the sugar is trying to escape through her belly button,
and picking up something on its exit, giving it the dark amber color?
To me this sounds like a Candida issue. I suggested doing a Candida
cleanse, or trying the GX Assist. However she is allergic to anything
citrus. The typical Candida cleanse and GX Assist both have citrus
ingredients.
Considering the above, I suggested she use:
- Frankincense 3x/day on her underarms (no anti-perspirants being
used)
- Frankincense 3x/day directly on the belly button
- Frankincense 3x/day near her femur artery lymph nodes
Another possibility (in addition to the Frankincense):
Could Peppermint be substituted for the Lemon ingredient in a homemade
Candida cleanse of 4 drops each of Oregano, OnGuard, Lemon?
Am I missing anything else that would help?
Also, can a normal veggie capsule from the health food store work just
as well as an enteric capsule?
Thanks for any suggestions!
