[Everything doTERRA] Re: Oils for Chiropractic/Physical Therapy Office

Linda, I am curious where you got the information about the equivalency of wintergreen and aspirin. I would love to use that info in my classes, but I would like to have the reference to share.
Thank you.

The first oil that comes to mind for Muscle Spasms (or muscle anything) is Marjoram. It is also good for cartilage injury, stiff joints and promotion of relaxation, peace and sleep!

I like to put Balance on before and after Chiropractic treatment behind my neck and or on my feet.

Wintergreen is 90% methyl salicylate. A teaspoon (5ml) of salicylate has the equivalent of more than 23, 300mg tablets of aspirin. It has a root beer like aroma. It would certainly need to be locked up and out of the reach of children!

Hi there - I am a therapist at a rehabilitation and chiropractic office. I've been given the task (I know only a little of essential oils, although I do use them at home) of finding oils that we can use on patients to help with the following:

1) muscle spasm
2) general pain (joint, muscle, etc.)
3) relaxation

Here is what I've found through past and present research, and my idea for executing it - I would love some advice.  Please keep in mind my boss runs a very small, simple practice, and cost does need to be kept to a minimum.

I am considering making bottles for our treatment rooms that contain fractionated (?) coconut oil (keeping the cost lower as well as minimizing skin sensitivities), each seperately in conjunction with 1) wintergreen for spasm, 2) frankincense for inflammation (would this be useful for most types of pain? or is there something more useful across the board?), and 3) lavender for relaxation.

We provide case-sensitive therapies such as simple small-area massage therapy (lavender), but for more acute cases might need other oils.

Any thoughts?
