[Everything doTERRA] Re: An oil mixture I put together for hair works great for dry, cracked feet, too!

To Reiki Riki: How much Castor oil would you suggest adding to her recipe here?

My youngest daughter has a weird skin condition and it contributes to some fierce dandruff.  So, I decided to make a deep-conditioning hair treatment for her that we use once a week.  Her hair is so shiny and beautiful and dandruff-free when we use this!  And my oldest had really thin hair that didn't grow very much--using this conditioning treatment made her hair grow faster and it became much thicker!

Fast forward a few months...  my youngest daughter's skin condition started flaring up on her toes.  The skin peels off.  So weird.  I thought, what the heck, I'll try that deep conditioner I made on her feet!  It worked!
So, I decided last night to give it a try on my feet.  My big toe is always cracked no matter what lotions, creams, oils I use.  I rubbed this deep conditioner all over my feet and put socks on.  I am AMAZED at how soft my feet are today!  MUCH better than even a pedicure or any other treatment I've done!

So, here's the recipe:

Essentially Elaine's Recipe:
• 1 cup pure, virgin coconut oil
• 1 tsp fractionated coconut oil
• 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
• 10 drops wintergreen
• 10 drops rosemary
• 5 drops lavender
• 5 drops thyme

Mix the ingredients in a saucepan on medium-low heat, just until melted (do not boil). Carefully ladle hot oil into canning jars or lotion bottles and let cool to the touch prior to using.

Directions for use:
After it cooled, massage the oil mixture your hair and scalp. A little bit goes a long way, so don't overdo it. Combed the oils through, twist your hair up into a clip, then cover with a shower cap. Leave in for 30-60 minutes, hen shampoo as normal. Repeat this treatment once a week, or as needed.

Please note—This mixture does go back to a solid form after cooling. You will need to re-warm it in hot water before use--simply set in a sink or bowl of hot water. I do not, however, recommend using the microwave. Remember that this is a very intense mixture, so a little bit goes a long way!
